The Blue Room

Relax in an oasis of calm with blue and cream French "toile de jouy" and contrasting striped fabrics throughout the bedroom and en suite private bathroom. White and gilt chandeliers hang from the ten foot ceilings in both the bedroom and bathroom. Beside the fireplace and hand carved gilt mirror, a pair of French doors open to a Juliet balcony. A large window provides a clear view of the lake and creek below. The vintage lamps, hand carved walnut furniture, antique pine plank floors and the wonderful oil painting above the French commode add a luxurious touch to this soothing room.

An old English serving commode has been adapted as a vanity with a vessel sink in the bathroom. The huge whirlpool tub fills one side of the room and there is a separate shower with sliding doors. For added comfort, a large ottoman sits beneath the tall shuttered windows of the bathroom.
