The Red Room

This elegant yet cozy room is furnished with pieces from your hosts' collection of antiques and prints. The fabrics are crisp red and cream "toile de jouy" and red and cream checks over petit point. The oil painting over the mantel, the fabrics and the Lyons red bathroom give "The Red Room" its name.

An antique carpet and a pair of French bergeres (armchairs) sit alongside the fireplace mantel over which hangs a delightful oil painting. Two pair of French doors with Juliet balconies open onto the lake and creek below. The furnishings are French country walnut accented with crisp fabrics and gilt framed botanical prints from your hosts' private collection. An unusual balloon chandelier is suspended from the elegant tray ceiling which soars to over ten feet high. Antique pine plank floors and vintage lamps complete this charming room.

The en suite private bathroom has a separate shower with sliding doors as well as an air jet bathtub for two along with a high oriel window through which to view the stars.
